Oppo has confirmed the India launch date for its upcoming F35 series, giving buyers a first look at the design and some of the camera features. The lineup will include two models, the Oppo F35 5G and Oppo F35 Pro 5G, with the two phones taking noticeably different approaches to their rear camera designs.

The company has also confirmed a 50-megapixel front camera with a 100-degree field of view for both models. More specifications, including chipset details, pricing and availability, are expected to be announced around the launch.

Launch

The Oppo F35 series will launch in India on October 5, according to the company’s announcement. The new lineup will consist of the standard Oppo F35 5G and the higher-end Oppo F35 Pro 5G.

Oppo has not yet revealed the starting price of either handset. The company is also keeping some hardware details under wraps, so buyers will have to wait for the launch event for the complete specifications and sale information.

Design

The two F35 models will have distinct rear designs. The Oppo F35 5G is shown with a horizontal, pill-shaped camera module positioned near the top of its flat rear panel. The module houses two rear cameras and an LED flash.

The Oppo F35 Pro 5G, meanwhile, will use a rectangular camera island. Its design is said to be similar to that of its predecessor, giving the Pro model a more familiar appearance.

Both smartphones will have the power button and volume controls on the right side. The left edge appears to remain clean, keeping the overall design fairly minimal.

Colours

Oppo has confirmed at least two colour options for the new series. The standard Oppo F35 5G is shown in a white finish, while the Oppo F35 Pro 5G will be offered in an orange colourway.

These are the finishes officially shown so far, although additional colours could be announced when the phones go on sale.

Cameras

Selfie photography is one of the areas Oppo is highlighting with the F35 series. Both smartphones will feature a 50-megapixel Ultra-Wide Natural Selfie Camera on the front.

The camera will offer a 100-degree field of view, which could be useful when fitting more people or a wider background into selfies. Oppo is also promoting NaturalTone 2.0, its imaging technology aimed at producing more natural-looking skin tones.

The F35 Pro 5G is additionally confirmed to support video recording at up to 4K resolution. Oppo has not yet detailed the complete specifications of the rear cameras.

Hardware

Oppo has yet to officially confirm the chipsets inside the two phones. However, an earlier report suggested that the standard F35 5G could use the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 SoC.

The same report tipped the Oppo F35 Pro 5G to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Max chipset. These specifications should be treated as reported information until Oppo confirms them officially.

The two models are also expected to feature an 8,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging. If confirmed, that would give the phones a large battery capacity alongside relatively fast charging.

Expectations

The F35 series appears to be shaping up as a two-phone lineup with a clear distinction between the standard and Pro models. The different rear camera designs help separate the handsets visually, while the shared 50-megapixel ultra-wide selfie camera gives both models a common photography feature.

Still, several important details remain unknown. Oppo has not announced the official prices, RAM and storage configurations, full camera specifications or exact availability dates. The chipset and battery information circulating ahead of the launch also remains unconfirmed by the company.

With the India launch scheduled for October 5, the remaining details should become clearer soon. For buyers considering Oppo’s next F-series phones, pricing and the final hardware specifications will likely be key factors in deciding how the two models compare.
