Infinix has started selling its latest gaming-focused smartphone, the GT 50 Pro, in India. Launched earlier this week, the new handset combines a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity processor and dedicated gaming features aimed at users who want strong performance for mobile games. It also packs a large battery, fast charging support and a cooling system designed to manage heat during extended gaming sessions.
The Infinix GT 50 Pro comes with a 144Hz display, 12GB RAM and pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers. The company is also offering a gaming accessory bundle as part of its launch promotion, making the overall package more attractive to gaming enthusiasts. Here is a closer look at its price, offers, availability and specifications.
Price
The Infinix GT 50 Pro is priced at Rs. 69,999 in India for its listed 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. Buyers can get an instant discount of up to 10 per cent on eligible SBI debit and credit card transactions, including credit card EMI purchases.
With the advertised bank discount, the effective price can come down to Rs. 64,999. The final discount and eligibility may depend on the payment method and applicable offer terms, so buyers should check the details at checkout.
The phone is available in two colour options:
- Black Abyss
- Red Blaze
Customers can purchase the handset through Flipkart and the official Infinix online store.
Offers
Infinix is promoting the GT 50 Pro with a gaming accessory bundle that the company values at Rs. 24,999. The bundle is being offered free alongside the smartphone as part of the launch promotion.
The package includes the GT NX Station, GT NX Controller, GT Cooling Fan cum Charger and GT 50 Pro MagSafe Cover Free Controller-5. These accessories are intended to expand the gaming experience beyond the phone itself, offering additional control and cooling options.
Another launch benefit is access to the JioGames Pro Pass for 28 days at just Re. 1. The pass is normally priced at Rs. 499, according to the offer details.
These promotions add value to the purchase, particularly for customers interested in mobile gaming accessories. However, buyers should review the terms, availability and redemption conditions before placing an order.
Display
The Infinix GT 50 Pro features a 6.78-inch LTPS AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 1,208 x 2,644 pixels. Its 144Hz refresh rate is one of the main highlights, offering smoother scrolling, animations and supported gaming experiences.
A high refresh rate can make fast-moving content appear more fluid, although the actual benefit depends on whether an app or game supports higher frame rates.
The display also offers a claimed peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits, which should help improve visibility in bright environments under supported conditions. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i provides screen protection, while TÜV Low Blue Light certification is included as another display feature.
Performance
Powering the smartphone is MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset, paired with a Mali-G720 MC7 GPU. The phone also comes with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, which should help with multitasking and demanding applications.
For storage, the specifications list up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 onboard storage. However, the India price information provided lists the 256GB version as the sole variant. Buyers should confirm the available storage configuration when purchasing.
The combination of a performance-focused processor, fast memory and a 144Hz screen positions the GT 50 Pro as a device aimed at gaming users. Its dedicated gaming controls and cooling hardware further distinguish it from conventional smartphones.
Gaming
One of the key features of the Infinix GT 50 Pro is its pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers. These controls are designed to provide additional input options while playing compatible games.
Shoulder triggers can be useful in action and shooting games, where players often need to perform several actions quickly. By shifting certain controls to the edges of the phone, they may also help keep the main screen area less cluttered.
The handset also includes Infinix’s HydroFlow Liquid Cooling system. Its purpose is to manage heat during demanding tasks such as extended gaming sessions.
Thermal management matters because sustained high temperatures can affect comfort and performance. The cooling system is intended to help the phone handle intensive workloads, although real-world results will depend on the game, ambient temperature and usage conditions.
Cameras
The Infinix GT 50 Pro features a dual rear camera setup. It includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation and an f/1.59 aperture.
The main camera’s optical image stabilisation is designed to reduce the effect of small hand movements, helping produce steadier photos and videos.
The secondary rear camera is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. It provides a wider field of view for group photos and landscape shots.
On the front, the phone has a 13-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. While the device places a strong emphasis on gaming, its camera hardware also covers everyday photography needs.
Battery
The GT 50 Pro packs a 6,500mAh battery, giving it a sizeable power reserve for gaming, streaming and regular daily use.
It supports 45W wired fast charging and 30W wireless charging. The phone also offers 10W reverse wired charging and 5W reverse wireless charging, allowing it to provide power to compatible accessories and devices.
Battery life will vary depending on screen brightness, refresh rate, network conditions, gaming intensity and other usage patterns. The large capacity should nevertheless be useful for people who spend extended periods using their smartphones.
Software
The Infinix GT 50 Pro runs Android 16-based XOS 16. This brings the latest software platform listed for the handset, alongside Infinix’s customised interface and features.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and a USB Type-C port. The device measures 162.44 x 77.23 x 8.15mm and weighs 198g.
For buyers, the combination of connectivity features and gaming-focused hardware makes the GT 50 Pro a feature-rich option. Its final appeal, however, will depend on real-world performance, software experience and how useful the bundled accessories prove to be.
The Infinix GT 50 Pro enters the Indian market with a clear focus on mobile gaming. Its 144Hz AMOLED screen, Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset, shoulder triggers and HydroFlow cooling system form the core of its appeal. The 6,500mAh battery and launch accessory bundle add to the package, while the SBI card offer reduces the effective purchase price. Buyers considering the phone should compare the available storage options and check the latest offer conditions before ordering.
