Porsche has launched the new Cayenne Electric in India, bringing its latest all-electric SUV to the market in two versions. The range starts at Rs. 1.77 crore for the standard model and goes up to Rs. 2.27 crore for the more powerful Turbo, with both prices excluding customisation and optional equipment.
Bookings for the electric Cayenne opened in 2025, and deliveries are now scheduled to begin. With four-figure power output in the Turbo, rapid charging capability and a large luxury-SUV cabin, the Cayenne Electric combines the practicality expected from the nameplate with Porsche’s latest electric technology.
Variants
The Cayenne Electric is available in two variants in India: the standard Cayenne Electric and the Cayenne Turbo Electric.

Performance
The performance figures are among the headline features of the Cayenne Electric.
The standard model uses a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing up to 440bhp and 835Nm. Porsche claims a 0-100kmph acceleration time of 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 230kmph.
The Turbo takes those numbers considerably further. Its electric powertrain can produce up to 1,154bhp and 1,500Nm. Porsche claims it can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 260kmph.
For a large SUV, those figures put the Cayenne Turbo Electric firmly into high-performance territory. Electric motors also deliver their torque quickly, giving the SUV immediate acceleration when the driver applies the throttle.
Charging
Fast charging is another important part of the Cayenne Electric package.
Porsche says the SUV can charge from 10% to 80% in around 26 minutes when connected to a suitable 400V DC fast charger.
The company also quotes substantial range recovery during a 10-minute charging session. Under the specified conditions, the Turbo can add around 312km of range, while the standard Cayenne Electric can recover around 325km.
Actual charging performance can vary depending on factors such as battery temperature, charger capability and the vehicle’s state of charge.
The figures therefore represent the manufacturer’s stated charging capability rather than a guarantee of the same result at every charging station.
Features
The Cayenne Electric combines its performance hardware with a large luxury-SUV cabin.
The SUV measures 4.98 metres in length and has a 3.02-metre wheelbase, giving it substantial proportions and generous interior space.
Standard equipment includes four-zone climate control, powered seats for all occupants, a powered tailgate, full-LED lighting, a panoramic glass roof and wireless smartphone charging.
The Turbo version also gets the Sport Chrono package.
Porsche offers a wide selection of optional equipment and personalisation choices. Depending on the configuration, these extras can add a significant amount to the final price.
For buyers at this end of the market, personalisation is a major part of the ownership proposition. However, it also means that the final on-road price can be considerably higher than the starting price.
Design
The Cayenne Electric retains the broad proportions and familiar design identity associated with Porsche’s luxury SUV.
Key exterior details include 21-inch wheels, quad LED headlights, contrasting door handles and the sloping roofline that has become a defining feature of the Cayenne.
The electric model is also designed around the packaging requirements of an EV while maintaining the recognisable Cayenne silhouette.
Inside, Porsche focuses on a technology-heavy layout combined with the equipment expected from a premium SUV. The large dimensions and long wheelbase also provide the foundation for a spacious passenger compartment.
ICE
The arrival of the Cayenne Electric does not mark the immediate end of the conventionally powered Cayenne.
Porsche continues to develop its internal-combustion-engine Cayenne range, and the third-generation ICE models are expected to receive further updates.
This means the Cayenne nameplate will continue to cover different powertrain technologies rather than moving entirely to electric propulsion immediately.
For customers who are not ready to switch to an EV, the continued availability of ICE-powered Cayenne models provides an alternative. At the same time, the electric version gives Porsche a high-performance option for buyers looking for an SUV without a conventional petrol powertrain.
