A new leak now suggests the phone could stand out for its display technology. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, iQOO is working with Samsung on an OLED panel that could introduce new display technology to the Android smartphone market.
The companies have not officially confirmed the reported specifications or display features, so the details should be treated as unconfirmed for now.

The iQOO 16 is reportedly set to use a new Samsung OLED panel featuring the company’s M16 luminescent material.
The leak also points to Samsung’s next-generation LEAD display technology. LEAD stands for Low Power, Eco-Friendly, Augmented Brightness, and Design Slim and Light, with the technology aimed at improving several aspects of OLED panel performance.
According to the report, the iQOO 16 could become the first Android smartphone to use this Samsung display technology.
The reported collaboration could give iQOO an opportunity to differentiate its upcoming flagship in a market where premium phones increasingly compete on brightness, power efficiency and display quality.

The reported LEAD technology is particularly notable because similar technology is expected to appear in Apple’s upcoming book-style foldable smartphone, reportedly referred to in leaks as the iPhone Ultra.
