Redmi has launched the Turbo 5 in India, marking the debut of Xiaomi’s Turbo series in the country. The smartphone went on sale on Friday and brings flagship-grade specifications, including a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, a large battery with fast charging support, and a high-brightness AMOLED display.
The Redmi Turbo 5 is positioned in the upper mid-range segment and will be available both online and offline across India.

Xiaomi has priced the Redmi Turbo 5 at Rs. 37,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, while the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs Rs. 40,999.

The Redmi Turbo 5 features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate. The panel supports up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness and offers Dolby Vision support.
For durability, Xiaomi has used Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection and claims the device meets IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
Performance
At its core, the Redmi Turbo 5 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. It is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
To manage heat during sustained performance, the device includes a 3D IceLoop cooling system along with Game Turbo Wild Boost optimisations. The phone also supports HyperConnect features and AI tools such as Google Gemini and Circle to Search.
The handset runs on Android 16-based HyperOS 3. Xiaomi has confirmed that the Turbo 5 will receive four years of Android OS updates and six years of security patches.

Xiaomi claims the large battery capacity is designed to support extended gaming and multimedia usage without frequent recharging.
