Vivo is preparing to launch the X500 Pro Max alongside the X500 Pro, and the company has begun revealing key details about its upcoming flagship phones. The latest teaser focuses on the X500 Pro Max display, which is set to use a new BOE 2K panel with several claimed improvements over the previous generation.

Vivo has also confirmed other headline specifications, including a MediaTek Dimensity chipset and a 200-megapixel Zeiss telephoto camera. While the company has not yet revealed every specification, the early details indicate that the display will be one of the phone’s major upgrades.

Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao revealed on Weibo that the X500 Pro Max will feature a 6.85-inch BOE Q11 2K Zeiss Master Color Screen.

Vivo claims the smartphone will be the first in the world to use this particular display technology. The company says the panel uses upgraded Q11 BOE luminescent material designed to improve image quality, scrolling and power efficiency.

The 2K resolution should provide a high level of detail, particularly when viewing photographs, videos and other high-resolution content. The large 6.85-inch size also places the X500 Pro Max firmly in the large-screen flagship category.

Scrolling

One of Vivo’s key claims concerns motion performance. According to the company, the new display reduces motion blur during scrolling by 93 percent compared with the previous-generation panel.

That improvement is attributed to upgrades in the display material and related technologies. If the claim translates into everyday use, users could see clearer text and interface elements while quickly scrolling through apps and webpages.

Vivo’s focus on motion clarity suggests that the company is looking beyond resolution alone when developing the X500 Pro Max screen.

Colours

The display also uses chip-level Demura technology and Vivo’s own pixel-level compensation algorithm. According to the company, these technologies improve colour uniformity by 43 percent compared with previous models.

Vivo further claims a 22 percent improvement in brightness uniformity. The company says these changes are intended to deliver more consistent colours and brightness across the panel.

Efficiency

Vivo describes this as its most advanced automatic brightness experience for an Android smartphone. The system is intended to make brightness adjustments more closely correspond to surrounding lighting conditions.

Hardware

Beyond the display, Vivo has already teased several other specifications for the X500 Pro Max. The phone is confirmed to feature a 200-megapixel Zeiss APO super telephoto camera.

The handset is also expected to use a 2nm MediaTek Dimensity chipset. Vivo has not yet disclosed the complete processor configuration, but the 2nm manufacturing process points to a high-end platform designed for flagship smartphones.

The X500 Pro Max is also confirmed to run OriginOS 7, Vivo’s latest software platform for its smartphones.
