BMW has launched the facelifted X6 in India, pricing the luxury coupe-SUV at Rs. 1.78 crore (ex-showroom). The updated model is available in a single, fully loaded variant and is being brought into the country as a completely built unit. The launch marks the arrival of the 2026 model year X6, which features updates to styling, technology, and equipment while retaining its performance-focused drivetrain.

BMW has confirmed that its detailed road test review of the X6 facelift will go live at 12.30PM on June 28.

Powertrain

Under the bonnet, the BMW X6 facelift continues with a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine, now paired with a mild-hybrid system. The setup produces 523bhp and 750Nm of torque, with power delivered through an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

The engine sends drive to all four wheels via BMW’s xDrive system. This configuration positions the X6 among the most powerful SUVs on sale in the Indian market, with a clear focus on performance alongside luxury.

Design

The exterior of the facelifted X6 features several subtle but noticeable updates. At the front, it gets adaptive LED headlamps with shadowline inserts, along with BMW’s signature kidney grille featuring double ribs and a matte black surround. The SUV also receives glossy black ORVMs and the high-gloss Shadowline exterior package.

Interior

Inside, the BMW X6 facelift continues to focus on a premium and technology-heavy cabin. The dashboard is dominated by BMW’s curved display setup, which combines a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. A head-up display is also included as standard.

The front seats offer electric adjustment, ventilation, lumbar support, and added comfort features. The audio system is a 464W 16-speaker Harman Kardon unit, while other highlights include soft-close doors and three-zone automatic climate control. BMW has also added the ‘//M’ branding on the dashboard to reinforce the performance-oriented positioning.

Features

The X6 facelift comes equipped with the M Sport Package Pro as standard. Mechanical and dynamic upgrades include adaptive M suspension, M Sport brakes, and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system.

Customers can choose from multiple interior colour themes such as Silverstone, Tacora Red and Black, Black, and Cognac. BMW is also offering its Individual programme, which allows buyers to select from a wider range of exterior paints and interior upholstery options.

Optional extras include the Crafted Clarity glass iDrive controller and gear selector, an Anthracite headliner, and a massage function for the front seats.

Positioning
