Vivo appears to be preparing several new smartphone launches across international markets, with three upcoming models surfacing on regulatory certification databases in India and Thailand.
The devices include the Vivo V80, Vivo S2 FE and Vivo X500 Pro Max. Their appearances on certification platforms do not confirm launch dates, but they indicate that Vivo is moving ahead with regulatory approvals for the phones.
Vivo has not yet officially confirmed the launch dates or availability of all three models in India.
Certification
According to a report by The Tech Outlook, Vivo models V2640 and V2648 have appeared on India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database.
The listings do not identify the commercial names of the smartphones. However, V2648 has previously been associated with the Vivo V80, while V2640 has been linked to the Vivo S2 FE through an earlier Bluetooth SIG certification.
The BIS appearance is significant because smartphones generally need to meet India’s regulatory requirements before they can be sold in the country.
V80
The Vivo V80 has also appeared on Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) database under model number V2648.
The listing carries certificate number B38612-26 and confirms support for GSM, WCDMA, LTE and NR network technologies.
The phone has previously appeared in other certification databases, including TÜV, IMDA and SDPPI. Its TÜV certification reportedly points to support for 90W wired charging, while the IMDA listing indicates 5G, WLAN, Bluetooth and NFC connectivity.
Vivo has also teased the V80 on its social media platforms, adding to indications that the smartphone could be introduced soon.
Cameras
Earlier reports have suggested that the Vivo V80 could feature a 6.59-inch display and a Zeiss-branded telephoto camera.
The telephoto sensor is tipped to have a 50-megapixel resolution and support 3x and 10x portrait photography.
The smartphone is also expected to offer a 4K Cinematic Video mode with features such as background blur and colour grading. Reports suggest the mode could include Modern, Vibrant and Pastel styles.
The V80 is reportedly expected to be positioned above the Rs. 60,000 price range in India, although Vivo has not confirmed its pricing.
S2 FE
The Vivo S2 FE is another model linked to the Indian BIS certification.
The phone is expected to become part of Vivo’s S2 family in India. Earlier reports indicated that Vivo may have decided against launching an S2 Pro and could instead introduce an S2 FE as the next addition to the series.
The S2 FE’s model number, V2640, has previously appeared through Bluetooth SIG certification, providing additional evidence linking the model to the upcoming smartphone.
However, details about its specifications, pricing and launch date remain limited.
X500 Pro Max
The Vivo X500 Pro Max has appeared on Thailand’s NBTC database with model number V2610.
The certification carries certificate number B38613-26 and lists support for GSM, WCDMA, LTE and NR connectivity.
The appearance suggests that Vivo could eventually bring the X500 Pro Max to Thailand and potentially other international markets. It does not, however, confirm an Indian launch.
The global version of the smartphone has previously appeared on Geekbench, where it was reportedly listed with a MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset.
The phone has also surfaced on certification databases including IMDA and SIRIM.
Design
Vivo has already shown the X500 Pro Max in silver and orange colour options.
Earlier images of the smartphone show a flat rear design with a large circular camera module positioned centrally. The device is expected to feature a Zeiss-tuned triple rear camera setup.
Vivo is also reportedly preparing a telephoto extender kit for the Pro Max. The accessory is said to include a 400mm lens, a dedicated capture button and a zoom control.
Launch
The Vivo X500 Pro Max is scheduled to launch in China on September 21 at 7pm local time, or 4:30pm IST. It is expected to be introduced alongside the Vivo X500 and Vivo X500 Pro.
For the Vivo V80 and S2 FE, the recent certification activity points toward further progress ahead of their expected launches. However, regulatory listings alone do not establish the exact launch date or final specifications.
Vivo is yet to provide complete official details for the three smartphones, so additional information about pricing, availability and regional specifications is expected to emerge closer to their respective launches.
