Infinix Smart 20 India launch set for June 8 as microsite reveals full specifications

Infinix is gearing up to expand its budget smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Infinix Smart 20. A dedicated microsite for the upcoming handset has gone live ahead of the official announcement, confirming the launch date along with several key specifications, features, and design details. Positioned as the successor to the Infinix Smart 10, the new model aims to offer a large display, a long-lasting battery, and practical features at an affordable price point.

Launch

The microsite confirms that the Infinix Smart 20 will be launched in India on June 8 at 12 pm IST. The smartphone will be available for purchase via Flipkart, making it an online-exclusive offering at launch.

Infinix will offer the handset in four colour options: Cloudline Blue, Polaris Titanium, Shadow Black, and Sunlike Orange. These finishes appear to target younger buyers looking for bold and modern design choices in the budget segment.

Design

In terms of design, the Infinix Smart 20 features a flat frame and a flat 3D Texture Composite rear panel. On the back, it sports a rectangular camera module that houses a dual rear camera setup along with an LED flash.

At the front, the smartphone comes with a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. The power button and volume rocker are positioned on the right side of the device. Infinix has also confirmed that the handset measures just 7.7mm in thickness, which is relatively slim for a phone with a large battery.

Display

The Infinix Smart 20 will sport a 6.78-inch display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. This high refresh rate is a notable highlight in the entry-level smartphone category, promising smoother scrolling and animations for everyday use.

While the microsite does not detail resolution or brightness figures, the large screen size and fast refresh rate suggest a focus on media consumption and casual gaming.

Performance

Under the hood, the Infinix Smart 20 will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate chipset. The phone will be paired with 4GB of RAM, making it suitable for daily tasks such as browsing, social media, and light multitasking.

For storage, the handset supports expansion of up to 2TB via a MicroSD card slot, which is a major advantage for users who rely heavily on offline media and apps.

Battery

Battery life is one of the biggest highlights of the Infinix Smart 20. The smartphone will pack a 5,200mAh battery with support for 15W wired fast charging. It also supports 5W reverse charging, allowing users to top up other devices when needed.

Infinix claims that the battery can deliver up to 39 days of standby time, making it ideal for users who prioritise long battery endurance.

Features

The Infinix Smart 20 is also confirmed to come with an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, adding a layer of durability that is uncommon in this price segment.

Another notable feature is Ultra Link technology, which is said to enable wireless communication between compatible Infinix phones at distances of up to 1km, even without a cellular network.

Comparison

The upcoming handset will replace the Infinix Smart 10, which was launched in India in July 2025 at a starting price of Rs. 6,799 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The Smart 10 featured a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Unisoc T7250 processor, and a peak brightness of up to 700 nits.

With a larger display, newer MediaTek chipset, bigger battery, and added durability features, the Infinix Smart 20 appears to be a meaningful upgrade over its predecessor.

As the launch date approaches, pricing details will be key in determining how competitive the Infinix Smart 20 will be in India’s crowded budget smartphone market.
